Short, because we collect very little. Last updated 8 September 2026.
Who is responsible
Websites That Work, Gasthuisstraat 17, 1211 KB Hilversum, Netherlands. KvK 78309840. BTW NL003316436B19.
We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact: hi@getwebsitesthatwork.com.
What we collect, and why
When you ask for an audit. Your name, email address and website address. We use them to look at your site and send you what we found, and to reply if you write back. That is the only reason we have them.
When you become a client. Your business details, your mobile number so we can reach you quickly about your website or payments, the content you send us for your website, and billing information. We need these to do the work and to invoice you.
Payment details. We never see or store your card number. Payments are handled by Mollie, who are regulated for exactly this. We only see whether a payment succeeded.
We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone for marketing. We do not add you to a newsletter because you asked for an audit.
Who else touches it
Only the companies we need to run the business:
- An email provider — our email
- Mollie — payments
- A hosting provider — hosting for this site and for the sites we build
- A storage provider — our own document storage
Each of them acts on our instructions. Some are based outside the European Union, in which case the transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
If you asked for an audit and never became a client, we delete your details within twelve months. Client records are kept for seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it. Ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep and we will.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask for a copy of it. Email us and we will answer within a month, usually the same week.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
